At AdmissionSight, we consult with our students and guide them through how to compete in these national research competitions. In addition, we help place students into university labs and/or competitive summer research programs, edit their research papers for submission, as well as review their essays and applications. Our students gone on to become Regeneron Science Talent Search STS Finalists and Intel Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Finalists through the quality of their research papers as well as essays submitted in their applications.
Started in 1942 as the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, the Regeneron Science Talent Search (Regeneron STS) recognizes and empowers our nation’s most promising young scientists who are developing ideas that could solve society’s most urgent challenges.
Every year, tens of millions of students participate in science fairs around the globe but only about 1,800 earn the right to compete for nearly $5 million awards bestowed each May at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
JSHS is designed to challenge and engage students (Grades 9-12) in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). Individual students compete for scholarships and recognition by presenting the results of their original research efforts before a panel of judges and an audience of their peers. The Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 scholarships to extraordinary young people, 18 and under, who have completed a significant piece of work. Application categories are Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Literature, Music, Philosophy and Outside the Box. The 2020 Davidson Fellows will be honored at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a special reception.
