Support Us to Empower the Nigerian Community for a Better Tomorrow
As President of the Minnesota Institute for Nigerian Development (MIND), it is my honor to welcome you and share the vision of an organization that has served as the proud umbrella for the Nigerian community in Minnesota since 1994. Our mission is rooted in the belief that while our backgrounds are diverse, unity is our greatest strength. We are a community of over 22,000 members, and MIND remains dedicated to being the united force that fosters professional growth, cultural preservation, and mutual support for every Nigerian who calls Minnesota home.
Our journey is defined by significant milestones and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of our people. From our “Unity in Diversity” documentary series which captures our rich history, to our hands-on community advocacy, MIND is actively shaping a legacy of impact. We have successfully intervened in critical immigration and health crises, ensuring our brothers and sisters receive the support they deserve. Beyond our advocacy work, we take great pride in representing our culture at international forums, where we proudly raise the Nigerian flag as a symbol of our collective identity. In this modern era, we continue to highlight the profound social and economic impact Nigerians have across the state of Minnesota.
Looking toward the future, we are leading with a commitment to transparency, accountability, and servant leadership. Our primary focus is the acquisition of the Nigerian Community and Cultural Center, soon to be known as the “Nigerian House”, a sanctuary that will serve as a resource for all, a gathering place for our elders, and a hub for our youth to embrace their heritage. Whether you are a long-standing member or a new face in our community, I invite you to join us as we walk towards this collective goal. Together, we are building a progressive organization where no one is left behind, and where the spirit of excellence continues to flourish.
God bless you, God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and God bless the United States of America.
The Minnesota Institute for Nigerian Development (MIND) has proposed a MIND Community and Cultural Center for the Nigerian diaspora in Minnesota. It will be accessible and useful to people of all age groups, specially targeting the youth community. With an objective to conduct educational, social and cultural programs to improve the quality of life for Nigerians in Minnesota, we believe the proposed community and cultural center will benefit all Nigerian citizens residing in Minnesota.
