Diego, a Veteran Designer with a Passion for Pixels..

With over two decades of experience crafting visually compelling designs, I am confident in my ability to create timeless designs or solve design problems.

Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of design principles, and a proven ability to translate ideas into captivating visuals. My portfolio showcases a diverse range of projects highlighting my proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and my experience in creating impactful digital and print media designs.

Technical Skills & Services

I’m proficient with tools that streamline the design-to-development process, resulting in efficient and user-friendly experiences. My decade long experience building sites has strengthened my WordPress abilities, and I frequently utilize Elementor, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and Figma (a leading collaborative design platform) to create high-definition website concepts and designs, like the Jody Kahlon site. I prioritize clean, functional design that elevates user experience and brand perception. My core specializations include web design, UI design, and branding & identity. Additionally, I’ve started producing content for Jody Kahlons Instagram account, further enhancing my visual communication skills. Let’s discuss how I can apply this diverse skillset to your agency’s projects. I’d also be happy to share specific examples from my work that demonstrate how my WordPress, Elementor, ACF, and Figma expertise delivered successful outcomes.

The Archives

With over two decades of design experience, I’ve amassed a fascinating collection of work that documents the evolution of design trends. Below, you’ll find some examples from the 2000s. Keep in mind that web and graphic design standards have shifted significantly since then, so some commercial pieces might appear dated by today’s standards. However, they offer valuable insight into the aesthetics and techniques of the era.

Ive been involved in and out of the online design scene for over two decades. That seems like two whole lifetimes ago in the online space, such is the immense speed of change, and trying to keep up can sometimes be a challenge.

The new dawn + Australian Infront
2000

The year of the olympic games and i was inspired by the movements going on in the UK and places like Sweden. Online spaces like australianinfront occupied my time and commercially I designed and built a few movie websites, namely the wog boy mvie.

2002

The year of the remix. Commercially I worked on the first eBay online flash tutorials. I also participated in some online digital art exhibitions.

Vodafone Training Tutorals
2003

Vodafone training tutorials - Spinefx Interactive. These were all created and built within the flash player.

Boxfresh
2004

Boxfresh! In 2004 to achieve any sort of clean and tight layout online you had to rely on flash. CSS was still too unpredictable at this stage to trust, so flash it was.

Doritos Australian Website
2004

Doritos Website for communicator interactive. My first attempt at creating a dynamic site using text files and action scripti!

Lifelounge
2005

Steet magazine Lifelounge launched a massive site in 2005. Jumping on the new "YoutTube" hype, we tried to create a new portal with video and other interactive media.

Diadem
2009

Wayfinding agency, Diadem, with one of the first onepage WordPress sites. Created with a child theme and several plugins, the site was content-rich and a first attempt at a one-page site.

The Basement
2010

Timelapse video for Puzle (Duro Cubrilo) and Myer Melbourne as part of their in-store revamp. Filmed over 3 weeks, available to view on vimeo.

I’m always eager to explore new projects, opportunities for collaboration, and the latest design trends. In my free time, I stay up-to-date with the ever-evolving digital landscape by reading industry blogs and RSS feeds.

If you have a project in mind where you think my skills and passion would be a good fit, let’s connect!
