The following beaches will be guarded 10a to 6p  on the weekends of June 2, and Sept. 15: 16th, 26th, 30th and 33rd ave.

More beaches will be guarded each weekday and weekend starting June 8.

Beaches fully staffed by the 4th of July weekend.

Smoking is prohibited on the beach.

Beach tags are available at pre-season rates through June 15 and can be purchased Monday-Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Longport Borough Hall, 2305 Atlantic Ave.

Pre-season cost is $15 for adults and children 12 and over, $5 for seniors.

After June 15, rates are $30 for adults and children 12 and over, $10 for seniors.

Tags are free for qualified veterans with proper identification and can be obtained at Borough Hall.

Surfing and surf riding is permitted 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 12th, 22nd, 28th and 32nd ave only.

· Always swim near a lifeguard

· Never swim alone 

· Never swim after hours

· Obey all warning signs and lifeguard instructions

· Do not dive head first

· Don’t fight the current

· Swim sober

· Always wear sunscreen
