The Complete Lenormand
with Mary K. Greer
There’s a moment in every Tarot reader’s journey when you first encounter Lenormand. The cards are smaller, more direct, and they speak a completely different language than the one you know. Fascinating. A little overwhelming. And full of questions. This class answers every one of them. Mary’s methodical, step-by-step approach takes you from your first two-card pairing to confidently reading a full Grand Tableau, and she has a way of making everything click. Students say it feels like she’s in the room with you, teaching from nearly five decades of experience and a genuine love for the tradition.
A five-session class that takes you from your first card combination to confidently reading the full 36-card Grand Tableau. Taught by one of the world's most respected card reading teachers Mary K. Greer.

Print them, keep them at your reading table, and return to them long after the class is finished.
A Complete Learning Path
This isn’t a collection of standalone lessons. Mary designed the class to build on itself: each session adds a new layer of skill so that by Session 5, you’re not memorizing techniques, you’re reading with real fluency. From your first two-card pairing to laying out all 36 cards in the Grand Tableau, every step is mapped.
Lifetime Access
No deadlines, no expiry. Return to any session as your practice deepens and revisit the handout whenever you need them. Many students find they get something new from the material each time, especially as their reading experience grows and earlier lessons reveal deeper layers.

Learn all 36 Lenormand card meanings as concrete, everyday symbols, and understand why Lenormand is an entirely different system from Tarot, not a variation of it.

What Students Are Saying
Who This Class Is For
You don’t need to be an expert to begin, and you don’t need to start from scratch. Whether you’re a Tarot reader curious about a completely different system, a Lenormand student who’s been piecing things together on your own, or someone drawn to a divination practice that speaks in clear, direct sentences rather than symbolic riddles, this class meets you where you are and walks beside you from there. Mary’s teaching is methodical and warm, building each skill on the one before it, so that by the time you reach the Grand Tableau you’re not just following instructions. You’re reading with confidence.
- Tarot readers ready to explore Lenormand as its own practice, who want a teacher who understands both systems deeply enough to show you where they differ and why that matters
- Self-taught Lenormand students looking for structured, step-by-step training to fill in the gaps and give you solid footing
- Students who feel overwhelmed by the Grand Tableau and need someone to walk you through it in layers, from the Significator to the houses, until the full spread feels approachable rather than intimidating
- Professional readers who want to add Lenormand to their practice and need the kind of thorough grounding that lets you read for others with clarity and confidence
- Complete beginners who want to learn Lenormand right the first time, from a master teacher with nearly five decades of experience
Class Outline
Mary designed this class to build on itself — each session adds a new layer of skill so that by the end, you’re not just memorizing techniques, you’re reading with fluency. The progression moves from individual card meanings through the art of combination, into increasingly rich spread formats, and finally into the full Grand Tableau with all its depth. Handouts and practice exercises accompany each session.
Session 1: The Cards and Their Language
Your foundation. Mary introduces the 36 Lenormand cards through an approach grounded in both historical sources and modern practice. You’ll learn the core keyword system, explore the 1846 interpretive tradition, and begin understanding how Lenormand cards function as a combinatorial language — where meaning is built through pairing, not isolated symbolism. Includes Mary’s comprehensive Lenormand Keywords reference sheet covering all 36 cards with historical context.
Session 2: Combinations, Pairs, and Short Spreads
This is where Lenormand comes alive. You’ll learn to combine cards into phrases and sentences — the skill that distinguishes Lenormand from all other card systems. Mary covers the grammar of card pairing (noun-adjective, subject-verb-object), how card order changes meaning, and how to read 2-card, 3-card, and 5-card lines for daily practice and focused questions. You’ll also explore card groupings by subject area: people cards, work and money cards, positive and negative indicators, and cards of quantity, size, and time.
Session 3: The Square of Nine
A deep dive into the 3×3 layout — one of the most versatile spreads in Lenormand practice. Using Mary’s original step-by-step exercise, you’ll learn to read the inner cards, the four corners, diagonal mirrors, three-card rows and columns (past/present/future, thought/action/will), and the knighting technique that reveals hidden motivations beneath the surface of a reading. This session includes a detailed practice worksheet you can use again and again.
Session 4: The Grand Tableau — Reading the Big Picture
The heart of Lenormand practice. Mary walks you through the full 36-card Grand Tableau layout (4×8+4), teaching you how to find and read the Significator, identify past/present/future segments, read the four corners overview, interpret line readings with directionality, locate positive and negative influences, and read the Significator’s column, row, and surrounding Square of Nine. You’ll also learn the Fate or Destiny Line — the final four cards that offer a summary or outcome for the entire spread.
Session 5: The House System and Putting It All Together
Mary introduces the House system — the 36 fixed positions in the Grand Tableau, each carrying the resonance of the card that traditionally belongs there. When a card lands in a particular house, the two meanings interact, adding another layer of depth and nuance to your reading. This session includes a complete House reference guide and brings together everything from the class into an integrated reading practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any Lenormand experience to take this class?
I'm an experienced tarot reader. Will this class still be valuable for me?
Very much so — in fact, Mary designed the class with Tarot readers in mind. Lenormand is a completely distinct system with its own logic, and Tarot experience can actually make certain habits harder to unlearn. Mary addresses this directly, helping you understand where the two systems differ and how to approach Lenormand on its own terms.
How long are the sessions?
Each of the five sessions runs approximately 60–90 minutes.
Can I watch at my own pace?
Yes. All five sessions are pre-recorded video. You have lifetime access and can watch as many times as you like, pausing and revisiting whenever you need to.
Do I need a specific Lenormand deck?
Any standard 36-card Petit Lenormand deck will work beautifully. Mary’s handouts use traditional card imagery, and the techniques she teaches apply to all Lenormand decks.
Are there handouts or materials I can download?
Yes. The class includes downloadable handouts with each session, including Mary’s complete Lenormand Keywords reference for all 36 cards, the Square of Nine practice worksheet, a Grand Tableau reading checklist, and the full House system guide.
What if I get stuck or have questions?
You’re welcome to reach out to us at [email protected] — we’re always happy to help.
Is there a payment plan available?
Yes we have a payment plan for those that can not make the full payment at once.
What happens after I purchase?
I started learning Lenormand on my own but feel lost. Is this class right for me?
Can I apply for a scholarship if the class fee is a barrier?
We never want cost to stand between a sincere seeker and these teachings. Ten percent of every class sale funds our Scholarship Fund, and we’re always glad to work with students who need support.
