Angelsey Wedding Videographer

There’s something truly special about filming weddings on the Isle of Anglesey. Nestled off the coast of North Wales, this island offers a unique blend of rugged coastline, lush countryside, and historic charm that makes it a dream location for couples tying the knot. As a wedding videographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing celebrations across Anglesey, and each wedding has its own distinct magic.

One of the most striking things about Anglesey is its diversity of venues. From grand manor houses to charming barns and seaside retreats, the island offers a backdrop for every kind of wedding. Shooting a wedding film at Henblas Country Park, with its breathtaking landscapes and rustic charm, provide an air of timeless romance. I love it!

Then there’s Carreglwyd Estate, a hidden gem surrounded by woodlands and lakes. It’s an idyllic spot for couples looking for a rustic, yet elegant setting. I remember filming a summer wedding here where the bride and groom exchanged vows under a canopy of ancient trees while guests sipped champagne on the manicured lawns. The natural light filtering through the leaves created a soft, dreamy ambiance that made for some truly stunning footage.

WEDDING Feature Film on Angelsey

I love shooting wedding videography at Tros Yr Arfon. Another standout venue on the island, with its stately elegance and lush gardens. The contrast of the grand interiors with the surrounding countryside makes it a versatile choice for couples who want both sophistication and a touch of nature in their wedding film. I’ve captured some of my favorite bridal preparations in its beautifully appointed rooms, where every detail adds to the atmosphere of the day

WEDDING Videography on Anglesey

Anglesey also offers something for couples who want a more intimate and laid-back celebration. Beachfront venues and coastal cottages allow for barefoot ceremonies against the backdrop of the Irish Sea. One wedding I shot at the Anglesey Coast saw the couple exchanging vows with the waves crashing behind them and the sun dipping into the horizon. It was raw, beautiful, and perfectly Anglesey.

Of course, working on an island brings its own set of challenges. The weather here can be unpredictable, with sudden shifts from sunshine to rain, and the coastal winds can be fierce. But those elements often add to the charm, creating dramatic skies and windswept moments that make for breathtaking shots. Being prepared with the right gear and a flexible mindset is key to embracing whatever the day brings.

What makes filming weddings on Anglesey so rewarding isn’t just the scenery; it’s the people. The couples who choose this island for their big day have a deep appreciation for its beauty and heritage. They want their wedding film to reflect the unique character of the place they love, and that’s where the magic happens—when the setting, the people, and the story come together seamlessly.

Every time I leave Anglesey after a wedding, I find myself already looking forward to the next one. Whether it’s the grand elegance of Chateau Rhianfa, the rustic charm of Carreglwyd Estate, or the windswept beauty of a beach ceremony, Anglesey has a way of turning every wedding into something unforgettable. And as a videographer, that’s all I could ever ask for—to capture those fleeting moments and turn them into memories that last a lifetime.
