I never set out to be filmmaker. When I first picked up a camera over 20 years ago, working for Andy Ambrose at Classic Video Productions, a Liverpool-based, high-volume wedding video company, I was just focused on learning, on capturing moments, on getting better with every wedding I shot. If you’d told me back then that I’d one day be named Wedding Videographer of the Year not once, not twice, but four times by the English Wedding Awards, I’d have laughed it off. Yet, somehow, in 2017, 2018, 2019, and again in 2022, that’s exactly what happened. Did they just run out of names to pick? Who knows. But it was a surreal, humbling experience, and I won’t lie, picking up that award was a bit of a buzz.
When I started out, I worked under the brand name as Aaron Rose Wedding Films. It wasn’t some grand artistic statement; it was just a practical choice in an era when visibility in directories like the Yellow Pages mattered. But over time, that name came to mean something to couples, to me. It became synonymous with heartfelt storytelling and crafted wedding films that stood the test of time. I spent years under that name, filming hundreds of weddings, refining my style, and building a reputation for narrative-driven filmmaking. 4 Times Wedding Videographer of the year
Multi Time Awarded Wedding Videographer
Aaron Rose Wedding Films wasn’t just where it all began—it was the foundation that shaped everything I do today. It was more than a name; it was a chance to connect with couples, to dive into their stories, and to build a reputation for crafting wedding films that felt honest, intimate, and real. Those years weren’t just about honing my technical skills; they were about learning how to see, how to listen, how to capture the fleeting moments that truly matter. That experience stays with me, shaping every film I create.
Wedding filmmaking isn’t just about pointing a camera and hitting record, vit’s a craft, a labor of love. Over time, I’ve realized that what makes a film truly timeless isn’t just the cinematography or the edit; it’s the connection. It’s understanding a couple’s story, their dynamic, their unspoken moments, and translating that into something uniquely theirs. That’s the real magic, vturning memories into something that lasts forever.
A BIG THANK YOU TO THE BEST OF WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHERS
No journey is ever truly a solo endeavor, and I owe a great deal of gratitude to two individuals who have significantly shaped my career: Jeff Wood and Phillip White. These industry legends have been guiding lights in the world of wedding filmmaking.
Jeff Wood, with his unparalleled eye for detail and cinematic flair, taught me that wedding videography is a true art form, capable of rivaling even big-screen productions. His advice and encouragement have inspired me to elevate my craft, seeing each project not just as work, but as an opportunity to create something fab. Jeff, your generosity and wisdom have been instrumental, and I’m deeply grateful for all the lessons you’ve shared and continue to impart. You’re a rockstar!
Phillip White’s mastery of storytelling and his ability to infuse emotion into every frame have been a constant source of inspiration. Working directly with Phil, attending his workshops, and hearing him speak at wedding film conventions have taught me the importance of subtlety and the power of capturing unscripted moments that truly define a wedding day. His artistry is remarkable—bravo, Phil! I look forward to learning from him again in the future.
