The road led me to Muncaster Castle, a private fortress perched high above the River Esk, a mile east of the coastal town of Ravenglass in Cumbria, England. Rumors swirled that this castle was haunted, but it still housed a family. And today, this majestic jewel in the Western Lake District was the setting for an amazing wedding.

The stars of this adventure were Lorna and Jon, a lovely couple who honored me by entrusting me to capture their nuptials on film. Their love story and plans for a grand wedding in the Lake District were too good to pass up, and I jumped at the chance to be part of their big day.
My camera lens followed them as they prepared for their wedding separately, the bride and groom lost in their own worlds of anticipation and excitement. We then made our way to a quaint church, where the ceremony was held. The service was heartwarming and included two readings that brought many a tear to the congregation. But the real pièce de résistance was yet to come, the epic Castle Wedding location. But before that, we took a quick break at a nearby lake to capture some stunning bridal portraits with the mountains in the background. My good friend and fabulous wedding photographer Andy Wade, had arranged for these shots with the bride and groom and I was thrilled to join them for the session.
