Ahh Scotland, what a place to shoot wedding videography. Thee place, the sounds, the people. Hi’ I’m Matt a professional observer, a documenter of stories played out in real time. A scottish wedding videographer on the hunt for more fab weddings to have the honour of capturing.
Some days are tougher than others, but then you land a gig that feeds your soul, like the one I had at Òran Mór in Glasgow, Scotland. Working alongside the most excellent documentary wedding photographer Ste Walker. Now, Òran Mór isn’t just any wedding venue and Ste not just any wedding photographer. We were in for a treat. What a place to get married, it’s absolutly fab. A jewel in the crown for a Glasgow wedding venue. I love it! If you are getting married here, then please get intouch. I would love to shoot your wedding day.
ORAN MOR Wedding Videographer
This particular wedding was one of those rare occasions when everything felt perfect — a feast for the senses and a celebration of the raw beauty of human connection. The day overflowed with the stuff that makes life worth living: love so palpable it prickled the air, laughter that bounced off the walls of the church, and joy so contagious that even the grumpiest skeptic in Glasgow would’ve cracked a smile. I had the distinct honor of capturing all of it, weaving together moments that would later become someone’s cherished story, watched and rewatched over years, maybe with a glass of good scotch in hand.

Wedding Videography at ORAN MOR
Another standout moment of the day was the photo shoot at this local park, an oasis of calm amidst the urban pulse of Glasgow. At its heart stands the Victorian glass house — a marvel of old-world architecture, an iron-and-glass relic that looks like it belongs in some bygone era where stories of secret gardens come to life. The place was bathed in a light that defied description. It streamed through the glass panes with a kind of ethereal softness, spilling over the lush greenery like golden honey. It was the kind of light photographers and videographers dream of, the sort that makes every frame a small miracle.
The couple stood there, radiant, enveloped in this atmosphere that felt plucked from a romantic dreamscape. We worked with the magic in front of us, letting the intricate architecture of the glass house and the wild green vines tell their love story alongside them. Every shot captured was a dance between light and shadow, a visual poem that paid homage to their commitment.
But then, as dusk turned into evening, the day transformed into something else entirely. The celebrations heated up, the drinks flowed, and suddenly the whole scene was a frenzy of joyous chaos. We stayed well into the night, cameras ready, as the energy in the room became downright electric. People spilled onto the dance floor, their laughter mingling with the pulse of the music. The couple? They let loose, surrounded by friends and family in the kind of carefree celebration that comes only after months of stress and planning have finally melted away.
