SURVEY & BUILD WITH CONFIDENCE

Property Line Stakeout/Marking

Considering building a fence, shed, deck, or other property structure? Dealing with a neighbor's property line dispute? Property lines are crucial because they need to accurately delineate two or more distinct properties. These lines need to be exact, otherwise, issues over the land and property may ensue. When looking to identify your property lines, M&M Surveying can help you move forward with certainty and peace of mind.

Staking Property Lines

This service involves the placement of survey markers at the corners of a property with the placement of additional markers along the property lines. All set at predefined intervals. By doing so, we create a visible line that will come to define the limits of the given property. In some instances, we will utilize concrete monuments or iron pins to mark the property lines.

Significance of Staked Property Lines

Staking property lines holds important surveying significance, as it establishes clear boundaries between different properties. Here are more reasons why property line staking is a crucial aspect:

  • Visual Clarity: Staking property lines provides a visible reference for property boundaries.
  • Dispute Resolution: Property line staking aids in resolving boundary disputes with neighbors.
  • Construction Guidance: When installing structures like fences, staking reveals precise property limits.
  • Intrusion Prevention: Staked lines deter encroachments from neighboring lots, safeguarding your property.
  • Compliance: Property line staking ensures adherence to building permit regulations.
  • Accurate Measurement: Staking helps determine the total land area of a property.
  • Legal Protection: Clear boundaries prevent legal entanglements arising from unintentional encroachments.

By engaging M&M Surveying, we will define the property lines, facilitate clear demarcation and safeguarding of your property interests. The work will be reviewed by an Ontario Land Surveyor, though no plan is included in this service. If you require a plan, we suggest getting a Plan of Survey (POS) or a Surveyor’s Real Property Report (SRPR).
