mXrap Apps
mXrap is a geotechnical analysis software platform in which suites of apps can be developed. The mXrap team and some of our users develop their own apps.
The suites available in mXrap can be broadly summarised under the following areas of interest:
Tools for analysing and interpreting mining-induced seismicity, as well as managing seismic hazards.
For quick and easy reconciliation of mined surveys and design shapes. Uses machine learning to predict stope geometry and performance.
Enables input and analysis of geotechnical data including borehole, mapping, stress measurement and rock testing data for comprehensive database building.
A data entry application designed for offline use on tablet devices, customisable to meet the specific needs of each site.
Tools for importing and evaluating various formats of extensometer and in situ stress data.
Integrates various cave monitoring methods to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of the activities within their cave mine.
Creates clean models for input into numerical modelling packages along with visualisation of the results, and other monitoring data.
Allows users to visualize data from multiple sources for the purpose of quantifying and visualizing inrush risk on a block cave footprint.
Tools for importing and evaluating prism data, commonly utilised for tracking ground movements.
Assists in calculating paste fill volumes, bund capacities, fill strength requirements, and reticulation paths. Includes a strength testing database with curing models.
A collection of tools designed to convert between formats and generally make tasks easier.
Research Projects
mXrap serves as a technology transfer platform for ongoing research initiatives. The following projects utilize mXrap to develop specialised apps for both internal research use and knowledge transfer to industry partners:
Active Projects
- Ground Support Systems Optimisation - Developing tools for optimising ground support design and implementation
- Stope Reconciliation - Creating applications for improved stope design and performance analysis
Development History
The mXrap platform has evolved over several years, with many applications tracing their origins to the ACG's foundational Mine Seismicity and Rockburst Risk Management project.
