Having grown up as part of the Nordhavn family, Eric began his career with Pacific Asian Enterprises (PAE) in 2000 as a member of the commissioning team in both California and Florida. After three years, he transitioned into the sales office in Dana Point, working alongside his father, Nordhavn co-founder Jim Leishman, and his uncle, Chief Designer Jeff Leishman.
Eric’s lifelong experience aboard Nordhavns and Mason sailboats has given him an unmatched depth of knowledge of the brands. This expertise has helped him cultivate an exceptionally successful career, with more than $350 million in Nordhavn sales to his credit. For the past decade, Eric has consistently ranked as a top performer in both brokerage and new yacht sales.
His hands-on experience extends far beyond the office. Eric participated in the California-to-Hawaii leg of the historic Around-the-World voyage, as well as all legs of the groundbreaking Nordhavn Atlantic Rally. He has completed extensive deliveries and training passages from Alaska to Maine, across the South Pacific, the east coast of Australia, throughout Europe, and across the Mediterranean. Eric has successfully represented buyers and sellers on yachts ranging from the Nordhavn 35 to the Nordhavn 96.
Among his most memorable Nordhavn experiences are personal adventures with his wife and two daughters: a three-week cruise through The Bahamas aboard a Nordhavn 41, and an unforgettable family voyage exploring the Sea of Cortez on a Nordhavn 57.
Eric’s career is defined not only by his deep knowledge of Nordhavns, but also by his passion for helping clients achieve their cruising dreams with professionalism, dedication, and first-hand insight.
