Every rug leaves our facility at 780 Tusal Marg, Boudha - NP Rugs' manufacturing headquarters in Kathmandu, operating since 1991. We control every stage: raw material sourcing, dyeing, weaving, finishing, and quality inspection.

NP Rugs manufactures three construction types at our Kathmandu facility: hand-knotted rugs (40–350 knots per square inch, available in wool, silk, and plant-based fibres), hand-tufted rugs (wool, silk, and bamboo, with shorter lead times), and hand-loomed rugs (flatweaves and soumaks in natural plant-based fibres). All three methods are produced in-house, with no outsourcing at any stage.
No fixed minimum order quantity. NP Rugs accepts single-piece custom commissions as well as multi-container bulk contracts. Pricing adjusts based on quantity – our trade team confirms pricing bands when you submit your order brief.
Standard lead times from design sign-off: 5×8 ft rugs: 7–8 weeks / 6×9 ft rugs: 8–9 weeks / 8×10 ft rugs: 10–11 weeks / 9×12 ft rugs: 11–12 weeks. Hand-tufted construction can be produced faster. Contact us to confirm availability for your timeline.
