Explore Your Non-Surgical Elbow Treatment Options

Regenexx Pittsburgh offers two advanced, injection-based procedures that use your body’s own healing agents—either from bone marrow or blood—to help reduce pain and support function in the elbow joint. These procedures are performed using precise image guidance by physicians trained in interventional orthopedics.

01

Regenexx-SD: Bone Marrow Concentrate Procedure

This procedure uses cells from your own bone marrow, collected from the back of the hip, then processed to concentrate key components that support tissue repair. The concentrated cells are then carefully injected into the affected area of the elbow using real-time imaging to ensure accuracy.

02

Regenexx-SCP: Super Concentrated Platelet Procedures

This procedure uses a highly refined concentration of platelets from a small sample of your blood. These platelets release growth factors that may help stimulate the repair process when precisely injected into the site of elbow discomfort.

Not sure which procedure is right for your elbow condition?

Your Regenexx physician will evaluate your medical history, imaging, and goals to help determine the most appropriate treatment option.

Real Results from Regenexx Elbow Procedures

How Regenexx Procedures Work

Regenexx procedures are designed to help support the body’s natural repair mechanisms using specialized injections prepared from your own blood or bone marrow. Every procedure is performed using advanced imaging to ensure accurate placement and is guided by your unique diagnosis and goals.

The Body’s Healing Agents

Your blood and bone marrow contain platelets and cells that play a key role in the body’s natural healing response. Regenexx procedures are designed to concentrate and deliver these components to the precise area of injury or degeneration.

Note: The cells used in Regenexx procedures are always autologous—meaning they come from your own body.

Precision-Guided Delivery

Each injection is performed with real-time imaging—either ultrasound or fluoroscopy—to ensure the treatment is delivered exactly where it’s needed. This level of precision is important for both safety and targeted effectiveness.

A Personalized Medical Approach

Your Regenexx physician will review your imaging and medical history, conduct a physical exam, and determine whether a platelet-based or bone marrow–based procedure may be appropriate for your elbow condition. Every step is led by a trained, board-certified physician—not a technician or mid-level provider.
