The Restmaker Story

We understand mattresses — not from a brochure, but from the years of actually making them.

Restmaker has been part of the Australian mattress industry since 1997. For over 20 years, we owned and operated our own mattress factory in Sydney — learning from the ground up what makes a mattress great: the materials, the construction, the feel, and what actually holds up over time.

In 2019, we made a deliberate change. Instead of running a factory, we put our full focus into design — developing Restmaker's own mattress specifications from scratch. Today, every mattress in our range is engineered layer by layer by our team, covering comfort materials, support systems, pressure relief, and long-term durability.

What sets us apart is that we design specifically for Australian sleepers. Not generic specs adapted for the local market — mattresses developed from the start with Australian climate conditions, sleep habits, and comfort expectations in mind. That's something you only get right with 25-plus years in the industry behind you.

Our mattresses are manufactured by carefully selected partners who build to our exact specifications and quality standards. We set the standard. They build to it.

We deliver free to all Sydney Metro areas, and you're always welcome to come in and see us in person. We're not a big-box retailer. We're not a faceless online store.
