No — Freeview channels are available through a standard TV aerial.

No — you don’t need a Sky box at all to watch streaming services.
A simple streaming device such as an Amazon Fire Stick, Google Chromecast or Roku stick will give you access to all the main apps.

This is one of the most common problems we see.
Sky Q creates its own hidden Wi-Fi network, which often fights with your mesh system (Deco, UniFi, etc.). The result is: freezing, dropouts and poor performance.

Hard-wire the Sky Mini into a nearby network point or mesh unit
Turn off Wi-Fi inside the Sky settings
Optimise your main mesh system
We do this kind of fix every week.
