What locations do you serve?
I am based in Sydney, with much of my work in the major business districts of Sydney CBD and North Sydney. I regularly travel further afield, providing high-quality business photography across the Sydney Metropolitan area, the Greater Sydney region, throughout Regional NSW, across Australia and internationally.
No matter where you are located, I can bring my mobile studio to you to ensure your brand remains consistent across every location.
Can you work in a live environment?
For many corporate shoots, we are looking for authenticity and a live environment helps the images look real. So it’s not only not a problem, it can actually help. Further, I am used to working “incognito”, minimising disruption to your team’s working day.
To get the most out of the session, I recommend a few quick preparations:
- Tidy Ahead of Time: A general de-clutter helps remove distractions and ensures the focus stays on your people and facilities.
- Personal Items: Suggest that staff put away items they may not want in a public-facing photo, such as family pictures, post-it notes with sensitive info, or branded coffee mugs from other companies.
- Clear Communication: Ensure the whole team knows when and where the shoot is happening. This prevents “surprised” staff members from walking into a shot and helps those appearing in the photos feel prepared.
Do We Need A Shot List Or Mood Board?
A mood board is a great way to communicate the “vibe” of your business, allowing me to align the lighting and energy of the photos with your existing brand identity.
Similarly, a shot list is crucial for guaranteeing we cover everything you need.
It’s helpful to include the technical requirements for each shot, including composition, orientation, aspect ratio, and negative space. This ensures that the images will work perfectly for their intended design and usage (website, socials, brochures, packaging, annual reports, etc). I can also capture multiple versions of images, varying the orientation and crop, to give you maximum flexibility for future projects.
Finally, the shot list helps us move through the shoot systematically and efficiently, allowing you to reserve spaces and schedule people to make the best use of your resources.
While this provides great structure, I am always flexible to pivot on the day and I am always the lookout for spontaneous, authentic moments.
Can you match my company’s existing images?
Absolutely. If you have a specific style guide or existing corporate photos you need to align with, I can replicate the lighting, composition, and cropping to ensure your new images fit perfectly.
Matching a specific “look” is a standard part of my service for corporate clients. Whether you need to maintain consistency across sites or want your new marketing materials to sit seamlessly alongside your existing ones, I can provide the technical expertise to ensure a cohesive brand image.
Do you provide a hair and makeup service?
Yes, I can arrange for a professional hair and makeup artist (HMUA) to be on-site for your session. When planning your schedule, please keep the following in mind:
- Full Professional Styling: A complete camera-ready makeover typically requires a minimum of 45 minutes per person.
- Quick Touch-Up Service: For larger groups or tighter schedules, a “light” service (focusing on taming hair and reducing shine for both men and women) is often all that’s needed for a polished result.
- My Rescue Kit: even without a dedicated artist, I am always prepared. I bring matte powder, blotting tissues, lint rollers, hairspray, and other items for those last minute adjustments so you look your best before we shoot.
How do we receive the photos?
I provide a seamless digital delivery process designed for corporate efficiency. Once your session is complete, the workflow follows these steps:
- Private Online Gallery: You will receive a link to a password-protected online gallery.
- Review and Selection: This gallery allows you to review the photos, share images with stakeholders, and select favourites.
- High Resolution Files: The photos can be downloaded as full sized files and as web optimised versions. If you don’t require retouching, these files can be used immediately and are yours to keep.
- Retouched Files: The final images are uploaded to the same gallery for easy access.
Organiser Tip: I typically provide a single Master Gallery for the whole company, which is the easiest way to track progress. For headshots, I can also name the filenames by individual, making it much easier for your marketing or HR teams to identify and use the photos across your internal systems later.
Do you retouch / photoshop the photos?
To ensure your images best represent your brand, my corporate packages include professional retouching.
In my experience, the number of edits included in the package covers the “hero” shots typically captured during a shoot of that duration.
However, because corporate shoots can produce a great deal of variety, you may find you want more edited images. Additional retouched images can be added to your order at any time to ensure your full library is ready for use.
What's Included In Retouching?
My approach is to enhance, not alter, the images, ensuring that your people and environment look smart, professional, and authentic.
- Portraits and headshots: I make subtle enhancements so that people look like they do on their best day. This includes removing blemishes, reducing skin shine, tidying flyaway hair, and smoothing away any signs of tiredness. I also subtly whiten teeth and brighten eyes, and fix any marks or creases in clothing.
- Environment and action shots: I de-clutter the frame by removing distractions (like exit signs or stray cables) to keep the focus on your business.
- Special requests: Most requests are included in my standard service, even more detailed ones like changing clothing colour or body shape. My goal is to keep things simple; however, if a request is exceptionally complex or outside the standard scope of the shoot, I’ll always discuss any potential additional costs with you upfront.
What's the turnaround time?
I know you’re eager to see your shots, so I prioritise a fast workflow:
- The Proof Gallery: You’ll receive your high-resolution proofs within 48 hours of the shoot. These are yours to keep and use immediately.
- Professional Retouching: Once you’ve selected your favourites for touch-ups, the final polished images will be delivered within 48 hours of your order.
If you have an urgent deadline, like a press release or a website launch, let me know before we start and I can usually fast-track your gallery.
Who Owns The Copyright To The Images?
In keeping with industry standards, the photographer retains the copyright, but you are granted a broad and perpetual licence to use the photos for all your advertising, marketing, and PR purposes.
No Surprises: There are no ongoing fees, expiration dates, or hidden costs. Payment of the fee enables your business to use the images across your website, social media, print materials, and press releases for as long as you need.
