Schön, aber kein Geheimtipp mehr
Vorweg: Organisation top, stabiles Schiff, viel Platz, super für unsere kleine Tochter (4). Kanu toll, Mittagessen gut.
Einen Stern Abzug, weil: Beim Mittagsbuffet Schlange (ca. 60 Leute an Bord) und Umstieg auf Longtail zu James Bond Island dauerte 20 Minuten warten in der Hitze. Auf der Insel selbst voll.
Naka danach wieder ruhig und schön zum Schwimmen. Also: Bucht und Kanu 5 Sterne, James Bond Rummel muss man mögen. Trotzdem Empfehlung für Familien, die Komfort wollen.

Beautiful bay, James Bond Island itself very busy
Loved the tour, giving 4 stars only because of crowds at James Bond Island, not the operator’s fault. There must’ve been 20 boats there at midday, queue for the viewpoint photo.
Everything else 5 stars: big boat comfy with shade, canoe through Hong Island caves magical, lunch tasty, Naka Island swim lovely and quiet. Crew great, pickup 7am in Karon on time.
My tip: go for the bay, the canoe and the cruise – the rock is a 10-min photo stop. Still worth doing, just expect people in high season.

Perfect for us older travellers
My husband has a bad back so speedboat was out. The big boat was ideal – stable, lots of shade, proper toilets, sun deck upstairs for views.
Pickup 7am in Patong, on time. Ao Po Pier check-in easy. Canoe at Hong Island was the highlight, our paddler did all the work through caves into the lagoon, stunning. Lunch buffet served while cruising, pad thai, chicken cashew, spring rolls, fruit.
James Bond Island itself via a short longtail shuttle, 40 mins there, enough for photos. Naka Island swim + paddleboard to finish. Back around 5pm. Relaxed, no rush, lovely crew.

Mit Kindern perfekt
Kein Speedboot-Geknalle, kein Festhalten – die Kinder konnten sich frei bewegen, Schwimmwesten gab’s, Crew hilft überall. Kanu fanden sie mega, unser Paddler hat Witze gemacht und Lagunen gezeigt.
Mittagessen: Thai Buffet, auch Chicken Nuggets-ähnliches und Reis für mäkelige Kinder dabei, Obst ohne Ende. James Bond kennen die Kleinen nicht, fanden den Felsen trotzdem cool. Naka: planschen und erstes SUP probiert.
Abholung 7 Uhr Patong, zurück 17:30 Uhr, beide im Auto eingeschlafen. Für Familien klare Empfehlung.

Ruhig, stabil, gut organisiert
Als älteres Ehepaar mit Rückenproblemen war Big Boat die richtige Wahl. Ruhige Fahrt, kein Geschaukel, Toiletten an Bord, überall Sitzplätze im Schatten.
Kanu ohne jede Anstrengung, Guide macht alles, man fährt nur durch Höhlen und Lagunen – wunderschön. Mittagessen frisch an Bord mit Blick auf Karstfelsen. James Bond Stopp kurz, reicht völlig. Naka haben wir nur zugeschaut.
Transfer Ao Po ca. 1 Stunde pro Weg. Sehr entspannter Tag, kein Stress. Danke an die Crew!

Abholung 7 Uhr in Karon pünktlich, Fahrt zum Ao Po Pier ca. 1 Stunde. Schiff groß, unten Schatten, oben Sonnendeck mit Panoramablick. Kein Vergleich zum engen Speedboot.
Kanu bei Hong Island war das Highlight: Guide paddelt, man sitzt nur drin und staunt – Höhlen, Lagunen, Felsen. Mittagsbuffet während der Fahrt, Pad Thai, Hähnchen, Frühlingsrollen, Obst, alles frisch.
James Bond Felsen voller Leute, aber muss man einmal gesehen haben, 40 Minuten reichen. Naka zum Baden und SUP. Um 17 Uhr zurück. Ideal wenn man es ruhig mag.

Great family day, canoe was awesome
Travelled with wife and 2 teens (14 & 16). Everyone loved it. Two canoe stops – Panak and Hong – paddling through caves into hidden lagoons, saw monkeys and eagles.
Lunch onboard was way better than expected, fresh Thai buffet with views of the karsts. James Bond rock is cool to see once, yes crowded but you get your photo. Naka Island: kids did paddleboard (included), we just swam.
Boat is big and social, stable, no one got seasick. Guides funny and clear. For 2,499 incl. transfer and park fee, great value.

Easy solo trip, felt very safe
Booked on WhatsApp the night before, reply in 10 mins. Pickup 7:30 in Chalong, minivan comfy.
As a solo woman I felt totally looked after. Canoe guide was kind, lagoons so peaceful in the morning. Lunch had veggie options for me. James Bond Island iconic, yes touristy but fun. Naka Island swim to cool off.
Met nice people on the sun deck, no party vibe, just relaxed. Back at hotel 5:30pm. If you want Phang Nga Bay without speedboat bumps, take the big boat.

Perfect first dives after my Open Water
Got certified last month, this was ideal. Calm bays, 12-18m, no current, 29°C water. Instructor stayed with me, helped with buoyancy, never rushed.
Saw a turtle, blue-spotted stingray, pufferfish and a whole Nemo city. Boat only ~1h from Chalong, much shorter than Similan trips. Lunch buffet tasty, fruit between dives. Rental full set 500 baht fine. Back at hotel 4:30pm. Great confidence builder, thank you!
