Therapy in Chicago • Ravenswood

You've thought about therapy before.

Something keeps stopping you.

Maybe it's the timing. Maybe it's not knowing where to start. Maybe you've told yourself it's not bad enough to need help. Maybe you started looking, got overwhelmed by options, and closed the tab. You're here now. That counts.

You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support. You don't need a diagnosis or a dramatic story. If something feels off, if you're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix, if you're going through the motions but not really present, if you keep putting this off, that's enough of a reason.

People come to us when

  • It's their first time in therapy and they're not sure what to expect
  • They've tried therapy before and it didn't click
  • Anxiety won't quiet down whether at work, in relationships, or just in their own head
  • They're carrying something from their past that still shows up
  • They feel stuck, unmotivated, or disconnected from themselves
  • They're ready to stop putting this off

You don't have to know exactly what you need. That's what the first conversation is for.

What therapy actually looks like here

We start where you are
No intake questionnaires that feel like a test. Your first session is a real conversation — what's going on, what brought you here, what you're hoping for. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you and help you find someone who is.
You get tools, not just talk
Our therapists use CBT, DBT, EMDR, and other evidence-based approaches — but in plain language, not clinical jargon. You'll leave sessions with something concrete to work with, not just a vague sense that you "processed" something.
It fits your life
Evening and weekend appointments. In-person at our Ravenswood office or telehealth from anywhere in Illinois. We know coordinating therapy around a full life is hard — so we make the logistics easy.
