Mark Saxon joined Safecor Health in 2024 with the goal of growing, scaling, and helping even more health systems to improve logistics, reduce pressures for hospital staff, and enhance patient care.
Mark adds nearly 30 years of experience to the Safecor team – experience solving real healthcare challenges as both a healthcare executive and a healthcare provider.
Prior to Safecor Health, Mark was Market President for Navvis Healthcare, where he led population health strategies and developed multiple joint ventures and partnerships to
further grow the business and drive performance in value-based care.
In addition to his work in the healthcare industry, Mark’s experience as a veteran of the Persian Gulf War – along with his experiences in the operating room (as Chief Physician Assistant in cardiothoracic surgery) and in the ambulance (as a paramedic) – have prepared him to make critical decisions to complex challenges.
Mark earned his MBA from Lindenwood University, graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) with a B.S. in Biology, and received a Physician Assistant B.S. from Medical University of South Carolina.
Gary Binkoski joined Safecor Health as Chief Financial Officer in 2024 after more than thirty-eight years of business experience across various organizations. As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Binkoski is responsible for all aspects of Accounting, Finance Planning & Analysis, Tax, Treasury and Information Systems at Safecor Health. He has held leadership positions within Finance/Accounting, Operations, and Marketing with organizations such as Office Depot, Limited Too, Alvarez & Marsal, and AC Nielsen.
Mr. Binkoski received his BBA from Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois, and holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management – Northwestern University.
With over 20 years of building and strengthening mutually beneficial relationships across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, Kevin joined Safecor Health in 2025 to expand our impact and strengthen our position as an indispensable partner to healthcare professionals.
Throughout his career, he has proven his ability to lead teams through sustained growth, dynamic circumstances, and shifting markets – all while maintaining a focus on helping customers solve some of their most pressing medicine-related challenges.
Before joining Safecor Health, Kevin served as a growth and sales leader at Accord Healthcare, Somerset Pharma, Mylan, Pfizer, and Boehringer-Ingelheim.
Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College, where in addition to studying Business Administration, he also played varsity baseball.
Paula Paben joined Safecor Health in 2020 with 15 years of experience in the lean consulting and food manufacturing industries. Ms. Paben leads Safecor Health’s operations, using her vast knowledge in lean manufacturing to implement effective strategies to enhance processes and increase efficiencies.
Prior to Safecor Health, Ms. Paben was a Director of Manufacturing and Fulfillment at Cheryl’s Cookies. She earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Ashland University.
With extensive experience in talent development, leadership coaching, and organizational strategy, Julie ensures our people strategy – including attracting, hiring, and retaining the right team members – is fully aligned to our business goals and the Safecor Health core values of Care, Commitment, and Excellence.
Prior to joining our team, Julie provided people-focused leadership, developed scalable HR strategies, and drove employee engagement within the healthcare, retail, engineering, real estate, construction, and restaurant industries.
Outside of work, Julie currently serves on the Columbus State Community College Foundation Board, served as Past Board of Directors Chair for the Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, and is a former President of the Human Resources Association of Central Ohio.
Julie earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and her master’s from Capella University. She also has her Professional in Human Resources certification from SHRM and is a DDI certified Master Trainer.
Eddie Carrillo joined Safecor Health in 2024 with nearly three decades as a quality leader in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. He oversees Safecor Health’s strong quality assurance systems and compliance programs, ensuring each process adheres to industry best practices from FDA, USP, ISMP and ASHP regulations and guidance, and enabling Safecor to provide unique packaging and supply chain solutions to health care providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and telehealth businesses.
Mr. Carrillo has a focused background in pharmaceutical manufacturing, most recently serving as the Senior Director of Quality at Sage Therapeutics, ensuring FDA inspection readiness at various sites. Prior to that role, he served in increasing roles of quality leadership at Baxter, Inc. and other pharmaceutical companies. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Iowa.
Steve Fischbach co-founded Safecor Health in 2008 with the goal of fulfilling an unmet need in hospital pharmaceutical unit-dose repackaging. Since then, Safecor Health has transformed from an idea of safety through bar coding to the market leader and the most heavily used unit-dose repackaging provider in the country.
Steve started Safecor Health after more than 25 years of experience across the pharmaceutical and health care industries and earlier experiences in consulting, accounting and investment banking.
Prior to Safecor Health, he was a Senior Vice President of Operations at Cardinal Health — a distributor of pharmaceuticals, global manufacturer and distributor of medical and laboratory products, and a provider of performance and data solutions for health care facilities. Throughout his 12-year career at Cardinal Health, he also held increasingly senior positions throughout operations, investor relations, and business development.
Steve graduated from DePauw University with a B.S. in Economics and received an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Northwestern University.
Ryan O’Dell is the Co-Founder of Safecor Health, and serves on its Board of Directors.
Ryan has over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the healthcare products and services segments, including medical and surgical, information technologies, capital equipment, supply chain, and pharmaceuticals. Prior to starting Safecor Health in 2008 and building the market leader of pharmaceutical unit-dose packaging services for hospitals and health systems, Ryan spent 10 years with Cardinal Health in a variety of senior leadership roles including Group Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing.
Ryan graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a B.S. in Business and a minor in Decision Sciences/Statistics.
