Everything You Need to Know
Understanding the transition from fossil-based polymers to YBJ BioJute is the first step toward industrial regeneration. Here, we address the most frequent technical and environmental questions regarding our 100% jute granular biopolymer and its role in the global Circular Economy.
Yes. YBJ is specifically engineered for high-performance extrusion and injection molding. It is a "plug-and-play" material that works with your current industrial equipment, requiring no expensive retrofitting or changes to your production line overhead.
Unlike many bioplastics that fail at high temperatures, YBJ offers superior thermostability between 180°C and 220°C. This makes it comparable to, and often more stable than, standard polymers like ABS or PVC during the manufacturing process.
Jute is a highly efficient carbon sink. Every kilogram of YBJ produced sequester more CO_(2) than is emitted during its cultivation and processing. By replacing petroleum-based plastics (like Polypropylene), you are actively reducing the geological debt of your supply chain.
YBJ is designed for true biodegradation. Depending on the specific formula and environment, it follows a "Soil-to-Soil" pathway. In marine environments, it is designed to fragment and serve as non-toxic nourishment for plankton, rather than persisting as microplastic pollution.
Absolutely. YBJ boasts a high elastic modulus comparable to fiberglass and is 30% lighter than glass-filled composites. This makes it an ideal choice for industries requiring high structural integrity without the weight penalty of traditional synthetics.
