New Orleanians have been celebrating Christmas for over 300 years, and the Creole Christmas Holiday Home Tour places the French Quarter’s majestic history in the holiday context. For this tour, five intricately preserved French Quarter homes open their doors to visitors, who will find their historic interiors decorated as they would have been when their original inhabitants prepared for Christmas in the 19th century.

In addition, this year’s 2022 Creole Christmas Holiday Home Tour will be running once daily from December 27th-29th. The tour begins at the 1850 House at 523 St. Ann Street at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. General admission tickets cost $40 per person while Friends of the Cabildo members will have a discounted ticket price of just $30 per person. Get ready to join the choral extravaganza of Patio Planters in Jackson Square, an iconic spot located right at the center of New Orleans’ historical French Quarter. As dusk falls on December 18th, hundreds of candles will light up this beautiful square as you can hum along with carolers and your fellow music-lovers. This event will span from 7pm until 8pm.
